By default, the blog's homepage displays the most recent posts. However, you can change it to static content and at the same time transfer posts to a separate page.
Start by creating two pages. For the sake of this article, we created a "Homepage" and a "Blog" pages (read the tutorial: Creating a Page). The former will display sample static content, and the latter, the most recent blog posts.
- Go to WordPress Dashboard > Settings > Reading .
- At the very top, you’ll see the "Front page displays" option and two fields right next to it. "Your latest posts" is ticked by default. Click down below to select "A static page".
- Select which previously created page you would like to display as homepage, and where you’d like to display the most recent blog posts at.
- Click "Save Changes" to confirm.
