Logo is probably the first thing noticed by the readers of your blog. Make sure it looks good. You can add your own in the form of an image or leave a text one.
To enter the logo settings, go to Appearance > Customize > Logo & Tagline.
The very top of the page consists of two elements - the logo and the tagline. You can disable their visibility by unchecking the appropriate option "Show Logo" and "Show Tagline".
Adding a graphic logo.
The image should be saved in the .png format, preferably with a transparent background. Remember that the size of the saved files should be 2 times larger than the size to be displayed. Thanks to this the logo will look good on Retina screens.
- Go to Appearance > Customize > Logo & Tagline
- Under the "Logo image" header, click "Select Image" and add your logo.
- In the "Logo display width" field enter a value in pixels.
Changing the padding in the header.
Padding is the space above and below the logo. You can increase or decrease it.
Go to Appearance > Customize > Logo & Tagline.
In the "Header - padding top" and "Header - padding bottom" fields enter a value in pixels.
The Site Icon is used as a browser and app icon for your site. Icons must be square, and at least 512px wide and tall.
